Form organisieren
Lecture Piet Eckert, Institut für Entwerfen und Gebäudelehre, Leibnitz Universität Hannover
The concentration of diverse, often overlapping activities and ambitions puts architecture under pressure. The artistic interpretation of form is opposed to aspects of flexibility, adaptability, and the general acceptance of replies. To enclose and combine activities and uses, rather than to exclude them, leads to a hybridization of architectural form. E2A has always been interested in finding a formal "principle" which can deal with these phenomena and thus in developing spatial concepts with a maximum of resilience.
